Specialization in Editing will deal with broad theoretical knowledge on concepts and theory of film editing and practical training on non-linear edit setups. Before the specialization the student will have to go through the foundation course on film making.

They will learn all aspects of film making that will lead to deal with the creative aspects of film editing in particular.During the 3 Year our main focus to let them understand the conventions of editing and to effectively implement them on Student short films to fine-tune their skills. They will learn the art and craft of Transparency editing or Continuity editing to make the narrative unfold seamlessly and to tell the story without any ambiguity . They will also learn how to manipulate timing(to compress/to expand/flash-back/flash-forward) and visually manifest the five different senses to keep the audience engaged and glued to the screen

Their expertise will be strengthened by various practical experiences and workshops under the supervision of industry professionals.
After completion of the programme students wil get opportunity to work as Online or Offline Editors.They can get employed at Movie studios, Television Production Houses, TV Channels, Corporate Houses etc. They can work for News Reels,Documentaries,Educational Films,Commercials, Corporate Profile films etc
